Here in Southern California, our last week ended with Hurricane advisories - needless to say not something we ever hear in this area, nor are prepared for... not street drainage wise, nor structurally in most cases etc.

Our family prepped as well as we could - got extra groceries and cat supplies on hand, and settled in for the unknown.

What most folks don't realize is that the hurricane being 'downgraded' to a Tropical Storm actually meant harsher and more volatile and unpredictable conditions and path of storm. There was flooding, loss of many homes and cars, businesses ruined... mud several feet deep...mudslides and falling debris off the mountains etc etc.

Thankfully we 'just' had insane rain and terrifying winds in our area … and… SURPRISE….and Earthquake!!!!

So far we have been able to avoid the affected - and needing a long while to clean up and heal - areas.

Our current building being what it is, water came through the wall... yes through the wall and saturated the wood frame that holds in the only window unit Air Conditioner, so once the storm stopped and the temperature rose again and amidst extremely humid conditions, we could not use the A/C.

So it has been... chaotic.

That in a nutshell is the energy of a storm.

The energy of a storm is chaos - some flushes out, some comes pouring in, things get changed, reformatted, obliterated, and some room is made for new to flourish when calm resumes.

The MAGIC of a storm is using that unique and extreme energy.

This can be done by casting magic during the storm, or even setting out containers prior to the storm to catch and gather storm water to be used in rituals later, bringing the storm essence to your working.

The energy of a storm is strength, force, and chaos. The magic of a storm – at least how I personally use it – is forced transformation.

Personally, I can say a lot went into overdrive and shifted, reconfigured, and is in process of change for me and mine.

Things were revealed – secrets, people’s true nature, hidden agendas and details. Some of that was helped along by Venus Retrograde and being immediately prior to the Mercury Retrograde that begins for us today – but just like a roof can get ripped off a building, so can whatever ‘keeps a lid on’ secrets and the like. Just as when water floods through a space, what is inside comes flowing out, so to, situations can bring inner truths to the surface where they are visible to others.

Storm Magic can be used to be CONSTRUCTIVE… not just DESTRUCTIVE, but truly its unique brand of transformation energy is severe.

While weather across the globe, and the US for sure, has held unexpected experiences for many places, my point here is that nothing is random, energies come when we need them even if not when expected or desired, and every energetic experience is unique so USE IT.
