Pluto is currently Retrograde in Capricorn.

Pluto is the planet of transformation and affects everything and everyone. Pluto makes a thorough and enduring impact. It helps us break down and break through that which is in our way.

While in Capricorn, Pluto’s focus and affect is on the material/financial, structural/steady and enduring. Capricorn always stays aware of power – where it is, who has it, how to achieve it. Pluto RETROGRADE in Capricorn

To understand more fully - Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008, which is the year that encompassed one of the worst financial crises that America has ever faced.

The the next huge banking crisis hit in mid-March 2023 when three American banks failed within five days of each other, immediately followed by Credit Suisse in Switzerland. This was just days before Pluto took a small respite in the sign of Aquarius.

Given Capricorn rules over financial institutions (structure, contracts, commitments), it is easy to understand why such disruptions to major financial systems sandwiched Pluto’s time in this sign.

Pluto returned to Capricorn on June 11th, 2023.

Have we learned anything about how finances should run more ethically globally – but on a more personal scale – have EACH OF US learned how we trust and interact with banks, accounts, investments… how we handle our own prosperity… y’know the thing we are ALL constantly striving to INCREASE… so YES such astrological aspects and their lessons and experiences MATTER to your daily mundane life AND to your magic – what you seek, what you cast etc.

 Shifts have to be made even if a tad on the gradual side (i.e. we cannot necessarily invest x amount this moment but we can create a financial plan and save or budget in to do so!) shifts MUST be made to our relationships with money, currency, prosperity, abundance, and the energy exchange and true value of it in our daily lives.

Pluto will remain in Capricorn until January 20th, 2024. At that point it will return to Aquarius for another relatively short stay, after which it will AGAIN return to Capricorn from September 1, 2024 – November 19, 2024. It’s next sojourn into Aquarius lasts for an extended period of time finally.

People often try to ignore various astrological occurrences, thinking them to be too challenging to understand, too complex to work with, and too much ‘extra’ to “add” into what they have to handle on a daily basis. ALL astrological aspects and events affect us all – differently for each of us to be sure, but it is still the energy flowing and pulsating around us ALL.

The choice becomes to ALIGN with the energy and direct it, utilize it, in a manner that enriches and supports your efforts and goals…or let it be the atmosphere all around you, still affecting you, but in a manner that is directed by the energy and will of others in your sphere.

Our path through this lifetime is a process we MUST experience. Pluto is a key aspect of that happening. It can happen in a way that is smoother and more aligned with our will if we engage in our lives and the energies around us at all times as they change to provide us with new opportunities, or it can be a bumpy road if we press on as if every day is the same. I always use the analogy of being aware of the (physical) weather of your day so you can be prepared. If it will rain, not only do you want to take an umbrella when you go outside, but you would cancel or postpone a carwash, or even watering your lawn.

Knowledge truly is power. Knowing what energy you will be in that day helps you to choose what is wisest to do, best to avoid, what it is the ideal timing for, etc.

This is always the case….when something as profound as Pluto Retrograde comes along, it is even more so.
