*It is important to remember as you create this jar that it is not to ‘contain’ your financial prosperity and money magic, but rather to serve as an incubator for these energies, as a dedicated vessel space in which your prosperity magic and energies will grow and flourish.

What You’ll Need:

To begin, gather the following materials:

• A Jar
  Any size glass jar with a tight-fitting lid is ideal, but any jar will work as long as it’s clean and capable of sealing tightly. You can repurpose an old jar or use a new jar.

• Money Herbs
  Herbs are key ingredients in many witchcraft and magical practices. Each herb has its own magical properties, and certain herbs attract money and financial prosperity.
  Below is a list of some popular money and prosperity herbs. There are, of course, many others, that would be wonderful additions to your money jar magic.

• Alfalfa: Associated with luck, generosity, and a happy home 

• Allspice: Believed to attract money and business success 

• Basil: Money, Affection and Loyalty (that customers, bosses, etc like you and your work and remain loyal to you – keep being your customer/reward your hard work with a raise, etc).

• Bay Leaves: Manifesting dreams and wishes, Financial Success.

• Calendula: Manifests Cash

• Chamomile: Creates a secure financial base for prosperity to grow from

• Cinnamon: Money, Fast Action, Protection.

• Cloves: Money, Success, Fast Action, Opening Roads for Opportunity.

• Fenugreek: Boosts the energies of other Money Herbs

• Ginger: Fast Action, Rapid Change, Fast Cash

• Honeysuckle: Luck and Wealth

• Irish Moss: Luck and Good Fortune

• Lemongrass: Wealth

• Mint: Attracts Money, Wealth, and Financial Prosperity.

• Nutmeg: Some folklore associates nutmeg with luck and drawing in money 

• Patchouli: Often associated with spiritual and magical practices, and is said to bring prosperity

• Star Anise: Prosperity, Luck, Success

• A Green Candle
  Green is the color of money, abundance, and growth in many magical traditions. A green candle represents the energy of prosperity and is used to “charge” your jar with financial energy.

• Salt: Sea Salt or any variety is fine.

• Rice (dry): for prosperity

• Corn: use unpopped plain popcorn. This is a nice optional addition that symbolizes abundance.

• A Dollar Bill or Coins
  A small amount of money, such as a coin or a dollar bill, is placed in the jar as a physical symbol of your intention. You can use any currency, from any location, but it’s most effective and common to use the currency of your country.

• Crystals
  Crystals bring their own unique energies to your magic. Even small chip size pieces added to your jar will enhance the money magic crafting within. You can of course use tumbled stones or even raw stones that fit safely in the jar and still allow room for other ingredients.
  Some Crystals for financial prosperity include:

• Citrine: Known as the "Merchant’s Stone," attracts wealth and abundance; especially beneficial if you have your own business or money making ventures.

• Garnet: Manifestation, Protects your efforts and progress, Abundance, Achieves a high caliber level of financial security and stature.

• Green Aventurine: Attracts money and financially beneficial opportunities.

• Jade: Prosperity and Good Fortune.

• Pyrite: Often called "Fool’s Gold," pyrite brings good fortune and prosperity

• Paper and Pen
  You’ll use this to write down your intentions, desires, or specific financial goals.

• Business Card: If you have your own business and have a card, or even a replica of your logo, are business success enhancements.

• Magical and Essential Oils: Magically formulated Money blends, and/or Essential oils like patchouli, cinnamon, mint,or clove can enhance the energy of your jar. These oils can be used to anoint the candle or any petitions, business cards etc that you add to your jar.

  Step-by-Step Guide to Making Your Money Jar

*IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR JAR ~ You do NOT need to FILL your jar when you first make it. You can add more herbs (another pinch of the same ones, or add in new ones), or crystals, or prosperity talismans etc, on each New Moon. You do NOT need to SEAL your jar with wax if you intend on adding to it and having it continue to grow with your prosperity. Even if you burn a candle on top of the jar it can either be in a candle holder or even if wax drips on the jar it is not a SEAL unless intended as such and can be opened to make additions. Keep this in mind as you determine how much to fill your jar at this time. It is perfectly wonderful as well to fully fill it if so desired and indeed seal it with wax and then light a new candle at the jar every New Moon.

1. Prepare Your Space

Before starting, take some time to create a peaceful, focused environment. Cleanse the space by lighting incense or using sage, palo santo, or any method that resonates with you. You want to clear away any negative or stagnant energy to create space for abundance and success to flourish.

2. Set Your Intention

Sit quietly for a moment and think deeply about your financial goals. What do you want to manifest? It’s important to be clear and specific in your desires. Be sure to word your intended goals in positively productive verbiage. For example “I am financially solvent and stable” instead of “I want to be free of debt” Do NOT put the words of what you DO NOT want into the jar. Word it from the positive angle of the situation. “I have abundant credit and a HIGH (you can list desired FICO number) credit score” .
Write your full name, date of birth, and your financial goals on a small paper – bullet points or intention sentences, no need for an essay on desired wealth!

Examples:

I am financially stable.
I am financially prosperous.
My business is consistently, constantly, and continuously, increasingly financially successful and prosperous.
I have abundant financial resources.
I have a high credit score.
Money flows to me easily, consistently, and abundantly.

As you write, visualize the flow of money and abundance into your life. Feel the relief, security, and joy of already having what you desire.

3. Fill the Jar with Magical Ingredients

Begin layering the ingredients into the jar. Here’s a suggested order, but feel free to experiment:

• Salt: a thin layer at bottom of the jar to protect your money and prosperity, and your mundane and magical efforts in money matters.

• Herbs: Start with a base of cinnamon, basil, and a few bay leaves. As you add each herb, speak your intention aloud. For example, “With this basil, I bring abundance into my life,” or “This cinnamon brings me wealth and prosperity.”

• Money: Place your coin or dollar bill into the jar. If you’re using paper money, fold it toward you as you add it to the jar to symbolize drawing wealth toward you. You can anoint your money with money oils if desired.

• Paper with Intention: Fold the piece of paper with your written intention towards yourself, and place it in the jar as well. You can anoint this paper with money oils as well.

• Crystals: Add in your money crystals

• Paper with Intention: Fold the piece of paper with your written intention and place it in the jar as well. Some people also like to add a personal item, like a signature or a small token, to further personalize the spell.

4. Anoint the Jar (Optional)

If you have essential oils, anoint the outside of the jar with a few drops of cinnamon, patchouli, or clove oil. You can also rub a little oil on your hands before closing the jar to infuse the spell with your personal energy.

5. Seal the Jar

*IMPORTANT NOTE BEFORE YOU SEAL YOUR JAR ~ Please remember the note about this at the start of the instructions.

Close the jar tightly. As you do so, focus on the energy of the jar filling with prosperity. You can say something like, “I create this magical vessel to attract and draw to me money and financial success”. Hold the jar in your hands and feel the energy of your desire radiating through it.

6. Place the Jar in a Sacred Spot

Now that the jar is ready, place it somewhere (fire) safe where you can see it regularly. Some people keep their money jars on an altar, by the front door (to attract new opportunities), or in a place where money and abundance are most likely to flow such as near their work desk or cash register area..

7. Charge the Jar with the Green Candle

If desired you can carve money symbols into your candle, and/or your name, and/or your business name. You can now anoint your candle with your money oil.
Light the green candle and place it safely (melting bottom to secure it) on the metal safe lid of your jar or in a firesafe candle holder near the jar. As you light the candle you can repeat what you said as you closed it. It is recommended to sit with your money spell jar for even a short while as the candle burns and repeat your ‘money intentions’ that you wrote and placed in your jar. You can also say such things as the examples below:

• "Money flows, wealth grows, I am abundant and free."

• "Financial Abundance is mine, now and always."

Let the candle burn down safely.

8. Take Action Toward Your Goals

While the jar acts as a powerful catalyst for attracting money and opportunities, it’s important to take practical steps toward achieving your financial goals. Your jar is a magical tool, but you must also be open to receiving abundance and take inspired action when opportunities arise.

Tips for Success:

• Trust the Process: Money jars work best when you trust the process and stay open to receiving.

• Revisit the Jar: You can place money that is found, or luck talismans around the jar as desired and sit and meditate on your financial goals, progress, and success. These items can be added in on the next New Moon if desired.

• Keep Your Vibration High: Practice gratitude and maintain a positive mindset about money. Your thoughts, emotions, and beliefs will influence the results of your spell.

• Burn a Candle on New Moon: Light the green candle on each New Moon on or near your jar, repeating your mantra and meditation process from when you first crafted the jar.
